4:34 ministries will be having a fundraising dinner for the homeless every 3rd Sunday of the month from 11:30 to 1:30 at the Heidelberg United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 2210 West Heidelberg Rd in Corydon. Price is $12 per person. All proceeds go to support the 4:34 Ministry and The Macy House giving the homeless a hand up. 

Meade County Farmer's Market opening day is Sunday April 15th. The Farmer's Market will be open Tuesdays from 11am until 2pm and Saturday from 9am until noon at the Meade County Extension Pavillion on Old Ekron Road. This year there will be new Sunday hours to be announced later. For information call 270-422-4958. 

The Harrison County Farmer's Market in Corydon will be open every Saturday morning from 8 noon April 28th thru October 27th. The market is located in the New Hope Wesleyan Church parkling lot next to Sears and Dollar General and will feature fresh fruits and veggies, frozen beef and pork cuts, local honey, farm fresh eggs, plants, flowers, soaps, lotions and crafts. 

Burger king in Corydon will be hosting several car shows to support Crusade For Children. April 27th, May 25th, June 29th, July 27th, August 24th, September 28th, October 26th. 6:00 pm - 9:00pm. 

Kentucky LIHEAP, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program is a federally funded program that supplements the utility budgets for low income households in the state of Kentucky. Central Kentucky Action Council provides services to the Lincoln Trail Area Development District which includes Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, Larue, Marion, Meade, Nelson and Washington Counties. From the Meade County Clerk's Office: To be eligible to vote on November 6th you must be registered by 4pm on Tuesday October 9th. In-office absentee voting begins on October 9th. If you will not be in the county on election day come in and vote or call 270-422-2152 to have a ballot mailed to you.

Otter Creek Lodge #67 will be having 2018 "Shop With a Cop" Benefit Dinner and Auction October 15 at 5pm at the Meade County Farm Bureau Building. The Meade County Parent Teacher Student Organization will be holding a painting fundraiser on Tuesday October 16th. Chili will be served from 6 - 6:45pm for $5. This event will be held in the Family Life Center of Brandenburg United Methodist Church.

Meade County Public Library will be having an open house October 17th from 5:30 - 7:30pm. Stop by for giveaways, activities, food trucks, and booths set up by local businesses. 

October 19th, 2018

Flaherty Elementary School will be having their "Spooktacular" October 19th from 5-6pm. There will be a chili supper, cake auction, silent auction, games, haunted hallway and more. 

October 20th, 2018

The Meade County 4-H will be having a lock in at the Extension office Saturday October 20th from 5:00 - 10:00pm. This event is for teens ages 14 and up. Call 270-422-4958 by Oct 12 to RSVP. 

Meade County 4-H Youth Development presents 2018 4-H kickoff Fall Festival October 20th from 1 - 3 pm at the Extension Office. 

Explore aviation with a free airplane ride. The Vine Grove Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association will provide Young Eagle flights, free for you between the ages of 8 and 17, Saturday October 20th at the Vine Grove Airport weather permitting. Registration will take place from 9:00 to 11:30 am but may end earlier based on the number of participants. 

Meade County High School Baseball will be having a Golf Scramble October 20th at 9am. Brown your own team. Mail entries to Ann Hineer, 1250 Meade Springs Rd, Brandenburg, KY 40108. For more information call 270-945-6029 and talk to Coach Amburgey. 

Wolf Creek Baptist Church will have a hayride Saturday October 20th at 5pm. There will be chili, hot dogs and snacks served. Everyone is invited to come out for some fall fun. 

Household Hazardous Waste Event will be held October 20th for Breckinridge County from 8am - 12pm Central at Breckinridge County Road Garage on Industrial Park Rd in Hardinsburg. For more information contact Breckinridge County Solid Waste at 270-580-4780.

St. John's Church in Brandenburg is having a harvest festival and turkey dinner Sunday October 21st. The meal is served starting at 11am. Dinners are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 years and under.

October 26th, 2018

There will be a gospel concert at 4:34 Ministries in Harrison County Friday, October 26th. Featured group is Ernie Haas and Signature Sound.

The Meade County Fire Dept Trunk or Treat will be Friday October 26th from 6 until 8pm. 

Brandenburg Primary PTO Fall Festival will be held Friday October 26 from 4:30 - 7:30. They will have games, a chili supper, costume contest and lots of fun! 

October 27th, 2018

Everyone is invited to Harrison Lodge on Broadway in Brandenburg Saturday October 27th from 5 to 8 pm. It's the annual fall event. Enjoy chili, hot dogs, drinks, candy and games. This free event is open to the public. 

Radiant Church Community Fest will be October 27th at Meade Co. Fairgrounds. Car show begins at 10am. Food trucks open at 11. Costume contest at 4:30. Trick or Treating and Free Chili from 5:30-8pm.

AARP Defensive Driving Course for seniors 55 and over will be from 10am until 2:30pm at the Extension Office on Oct 30th. Four hour class. $15 for members, $20 for non members. Pre-registration and pre-payment required at the time of sign up. Register at the Extsnsion Office in Brandenburg by October 26th.

Trick or Treat hours in the unincorporated areas of Meade County will be held on Wednesday October 31st between 5-8pm. The times are the same in the cities of Brandenburg, Ekron and Muldraugh.

The Central Kentucky community is invited to Hosparus Health's annual Holiday Remembrance Service to celebrate loved ones who have died within the past year Sunday Nov 4 at 2:30pm at First Prebyterian Church in Elizabethtown.
